Welcome
This site has been inspired by two of the finest things in life, Cornwall and the Morris Minor. Like many Morris owners, I was introduced to the Minor at an early age - we had one as our family car. She was called Bessie and took us on regular holidays to Cornwall. (We lived up country). Bessie made the trip from Northampton to Cornwall in as little as ten hours, on a good day with a prevailing wind. The trip was often enhanced by my dad's joy of the "Short Cut", a mystery tour of some of the minor roads in Wiltshire and Devon. (Bessie aka CNH 379C is/was a Rose Taupe Traveller. If she's still out there let me know...) After many years of dull, uninteresting motoring I finally realised that there was something missing. I am not particularly wealthy, and have always driven "previously owned" vehicles. These have ranged from a Morris 1300, to VW Campers, deadly dull Ford Escorts, and the occasional Mercedes (company) van. One day I realised if I was going to drive old cars, why not drive a proper old car? The choice was obvious, the rust is history... So here's a website for those of us who have opted to return to a time when motoring was an adventure, when the RAC man used to salute and Air Conditioning meant sliding the window forward so the dog could poke his tongue out the side. All contributions toward this site will be gratefully received. See Links Page
